MBKC Championship 2008

26/08/08 - Points added for Round 9 (Formula Blue points are subject to appeal)

2008 ABkC ICC Nationals Round 4 and MBKC Championship Round 9

Mark Twain's famous quote,  "Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated", could have equally been applied from Manchester & Buxton Kart Club following a quite superb meeting on the 24th August 2008. Having been somewhat maligned in certain quarters, what better way to respond than with a veritable feast of some of the best racing it has been my privilage to witness in many a year.

Odd really, in that there is always great anticipation surrounding the big meetings, such as the Gold Cup, TKM Platinum Cup, Rotax Cup, etc, however this was a standard club meeting with what was really not the greatest of entries due to meetings in other parts of the country, and of course it still being a busy holiday period. That said of course, there was the immense attraction of 30 125 ICC gearbox karts gracing the meeting as the club was also hosting the latest round of the ABKC ICC championship.
